Hi coach my name is Derrick Irving, I am a 6'1 combo guard Class of 2016. I go to St. John's Prep in Astoria, Queens, but I live in Harlem. I am a very hard worker and I am ready to put forth effort to win. I averaged 17 ppg and 5 apg this year and we lost in the championship game. I am a very skilled player and a coach on the floor. I can score in multiple ways and set up my teammates as well. I am a lock down defender. I am contacting you to let you know that if you ever know of an opportunity to play for a team, in a tournament, a workout/clinic, or a high school, prep school, or college that is looking for players please let me know. You can contact me at 347-932-7280 or email me at email@example.com. Thank you for your time and have a nice day
My apologies for not getting back to you till now about your April question about your SAT question. Somehow I didn't see your original message on NYCBasketball & only saw it today when someone else messaged me & I saw your message on my page when i answered them.
Anyway, get together with your schools Guidance Dept. & or College office & check out this web site; Number2.com Your school can register at the site & start the process of getting ALL of your students started on getting FREE prep for the SAT. In my experience I've found it's best if there is a "point person" at the school who coordinates usage of the site UNTIL the students are familar with it.
Also, check out Manhattan based Russel Shuler & his great YES ( Youth Education through Sports ) program. Coach Crump may have his contact information if you can't find it. Russel has been around for years helping kids & is a solid guy.
Let me know how it goes & don't hesitate to take advantage of the PSAL's FREE Student-Athlete Seminar "Game Plan for Success" which I can conduct at your school. Details are at PSAL.org "Coach's Corner". Best of luck! Rich K
Ok. Yes, they are HS student-athletes. They play for me at Manhattan Village Academy in the PSAL. I will bring them on Monday and is training going on this saturday at ps 3 because I would like to start bringing my son back? He asked about it last week.
I remember your son. You can bring those players as long as they are High School student-athletes. The workouts are very difficult and they must be able to handle it!! The donation is $5.00 every time they come!
